Who We Serve (Ages 4 Years 9 Months+)
Star Academy serves children who turn 4 years 9 months by the start of the school year. Our TK readiness program bridges preschool and kindergarten. For school-age children (grades K–8), we offer a structured after-school program that combines supervised care with academic support and enrichment. We focus on safety, consistency, and age-appropriate learning. We do not offer infant or toddler care—our programs are designed for children who are ready for TK or elementary school.
Operates under applicable California education program requirements for school-age/TK programs. All staff are background-checked and trained.
School Pickup & Transportation
We provide safe after-school pickup from participating schools in the Whitney Ave / 95821 area. Our vans pick up students at dismissal and bring them to Star Academy for supervised check-in. There is no unsupervised time between pickup and arrival. Parents receive confirmation when their child has arrived safely. We coordinate with school offices for early dismissals and minimum days.

Homework & Academic Support
Every afternoon includes a dedicated homework block with staff support. Students work on reading, math, and other assignments in a quiet, structured environment. We use IXL and other evidence-based tools to support individualized learning. First and second graders receive extra support with early literacy and number sense. Older students work on more advanced projects and independent study skills. Our goal is to help children complete homework while building confidence and good habits.

After homework, students engage in hands-on enrichment. Our program includes:
